Mikala received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta bar in 2023. She completed her articles and practiced at a full-service regional law firm in Calgary until she joined Niblock & Company in early 2024. Mikala was able to hone her skills and knowledge at this regional law firm and was equipped with a wide range of experience that she brings to her current role with Niblock & Company.
Mikala maintains a broad practice, but primarily maintains a general practice in civil litigation and family law where she has appeared before both the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Justice. Her general civil litigation practice includes Contract Law, Employment Law, Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, and more. She also has experience in Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Condominium Property Law, Commercial Lending, and more.

Personal
Mikala was born and raised in Medicine Hat, and she is grateful to be practicing law back in her hometown. When she is not in the office, Mikala enjoys painting, gardening, baking, hiking, travelling, and spending time with her dogs and family.
